The Snow

Poor Sophie! The snow was almost as tall as her, and she has not seen it sense last year. Cannot find her sent in the snow, and has to hop around! Been having soup the last couple days to keep us warm! Loving the snow because we only got it once last year so we are playing in it as much as we can! But right now we have no snow and are board. Dad might put up the Christmas lights, but we do not know yet.
How much snow is that?
Happy Holidays!

Crescent Bar

We left the house at 7:30 in the morning to head over to Crescent Bar. Of course on the way over there Keagan was looking for Deer. It was nice and quiet on the way there because the kids were watching Ice Age and Leo And Stich in the car. It was also nice because I didn't hear the sentence "Are we there yet". Me and the kids were so glad we got to go to Crescent Bar for the first time! Ryland on his skin board.~
How is that ice cream?~
Cute kids! Ryder, Keagan, Kennedy, Ryker and Ryland. Thier having fun in the really hot sun!!~
Happy Birthday Rene! I couldn't find a seat... oh here is one! Hahaha! What a great time!~

Nature

I love nature because of all the flowers and waterfalls, even the creeks and ponds! Keagan reminded me about nature when he came home from school and said "we now have a pet frog in our classroom". Look into the wonderful world of nature. I will tell you, once you walk into the doors of nature you get locked in! (in a good way!) Speaking of nature here is a story about it. It was Keagans birthday and when Sophie (our dog) hopped out of my bed and ran to the door to go to the bathroom I got my first foot out of my bed and I herd a loud BARK! I ran out of bed and saw a HUGE frog! I am pretty sure Keagan invited the frog to his birthday!

The Beach

The boys had a LOT of fun!

The kids had fun!
We all had fun with the sunset!

Ocean

The Ocean was a great time for the family! We dug clams, we also flew kites (both fun) and just sat around. The whole family got their limit when they dug, the sunset was AMAZING! Weather was sunny with wind and we sure got lucky because there was NO RAIN! The clams were big and fat. Kennedy got down on her hands and knees and went down in the hole to fid the clam. (only with her hands!

Ocean Time!

Well we just got back from the ocean! We got to go clam digging and we also just layed around in are cottage. At the beach Kennedy and Keagan flew kites ( Lucky the did not get twisted). The family had a great time! The best thing that happend at the ocean was the weather and the clams. This is why I like the clams this time, because the family got big and fat ones, also because the WHOLE family got their limit! The good good thing about the weather was that it was sunny (a little windy) and not one day there was rain!
These pics are from last year.

Hawaii

Well Hawaii was great for the parents but the kids had to stay home!! They said (next time Kennedy and Keagan get to come). Keep that promise because if they brake it I will have a word with them, and that word is the word (why). Look at what they do! Tell the next time, The VanHoofs!

Wednesday, April 28, 2010

Well, I dont' know how much time I can actually dedicate to this blog but my daughter has been begging me to get one started so here we go!!

2010 has gotten off to a great start for the VanHoofs. Chris and I celebrated our 10 year anniversary in Maui - it was FANTASTIC!! Kennedy just celebrated her 9th birthday and we are closing in on Keagan's 7th!! The kids are doing great in school and love learning and spending time with the friends. Keagan is an official reader and just finished his first chapter book (he thinks this is the greatest thing ever!)

Kennedy is our math whiz - I can't believe the level of learning these 3rd graders are at. It's pretty scary when you can't help your 3rd grader without visiting the math tutorial website :)

Sports, sports and more sports. Both kids are playing ball this spring and this keeps our nights very busy. Keagan took up Tae Kwon Do this year and absolutely loves it. So baseball on Mondays, Tae Kwon Do on Tuesdays, fastpitch on Wednesday and Thursday and Saturday - we are busy.

Well, it's not much but it's a start - I will try to keep up with this thing, we'll see how it goes.

Until next time -
